We were so excited to see the rain last week, we asked students to make a piece of clothing or equipment that was waterproof. They came up with some great creations and enjoyed being tested with the water spray bottle.
As part of Outdoor Classroom Day 1J students had to complete a Scavenger Hunt finding objects such as a Y-shaped stick, a heart-shaped rock, a feather and something to recycle. Students worked well in pairs and had fun finding 10 different objects in our school grounds. We finished the hunt with a story on our outdoor stage and a play on the playground. The monkey bars were a favourite!
1J did an awesome job presenting the Book Week Parade Assembly. Their costumes were great and they all spoke very well. Mrs Jones was very proud of them.
Students are having a great time Friday afternoons participating in our STEM challenges. They have had to design and make shoes for their teddies, a rainy day game and the tallest freestanding tower they can from two sheets of newspaper! I have been impressed with their teamwork, perseverance and problem solving skills.
